Week 12 – Gary Barnidge at Atlanta Falcons
After catching one pass in Week 11, Gary Barnidge has 10 receptions for the season. As long as Jordan Cameron is out, Barnidge will see a decent amount of playing time, but there is ample proof out there showing he offers nothing to fantasy owners.
Week 11 – Gary Barnidge vs. Houston Texans
With Jordan Cameron out in Week 10, Gary Barnidge saw more playing time and caught two passes for 46 yards. While Barnidge is a functional NFL player, as evidenced by the fact he was drafted back in 2008 by Carolina, he has never been a fantasy threat and a sudden breakout would be a major shock.
Week 10 – Gary Barnidge at Cincinnati Bengals
Gary Barnidge saw more playing time than usual in Week 9 due to the absence of Jordan Cameron, but did not take advantage of the opportunity, catching two passes for 16 yards. Barnidge has been in the NFL since 2009 and has never made it onto the fantasy radar. We highly doubt he ever will.
Week 9 – Gary Barnidge vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Gary Barnidge failed to catch a pass last weekend and has just five receptions in seven games. Although Barnidge will get some extra playing time against Tampa Bay with Jordan Cameron dealing with a concussion, you would be much better going with someone other than Gary if you are in a bind.
Week 6 – Gary Barnidge vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Gary Barnidge failed to catch a pass last weekend. The veteran tight end shares time with Jim Dray behind Jordan Cameron and has never been a significant part of the fantasy scene. Expect more of the same on Sunday against the Steelers.
Week 5 – Gary Barnidge at Tennessee Titans
Through three games, Gary Barnidge has three receptions for 54 yards. With Jordan Cameron as healthy as he’s probably going to get, Barnidge has nothing to offer.
