NE WR Brandon LaFell - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Oakland
Through two weeks, LaFell has played half the offensive snaps. He still awaits his first reception as a Patriot, though. While LaFell may be a solid depth option for New England, he's a fantasy zero until further notice.

NE WR Brandon LaFell - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Minnesota
I maintain that LaFell was a nice real football signing for the Patriots. Until something changes, though, he has relatively zero fantasy value. LaFell should not be owned in any but the deepest of formats.

NE WR Brandon LaFell - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs Miami
LaFell was a nice real life signing for the Patriots. Barring some injuries in front of him, I can't see rolling out LaFell in any format or league size. We rank him as WR100+. Stay away.

NE WR Brandon LaFell - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Brandon LaFell has improved his seasonal stats every year in the league, but has failed to really ever distinguish himself or truly "break out." If he can carve out a role on the Patriots similar to what he had in Carolina, he'd have a flex spot start value on a fantasy team's bench.

Fantasy Downside
It's possible LaFell doesn't make the final roster. Even if he does, he may stay buried on the depth chart most game days. Along with all this risk, comes rather limited upside.

Bottom Line
We're currently ranking LaFell as WR111 in PPR and WR112 in standard. That's about all you need to know. You can safely ignore and avoid LaFell.
