Steelers QB Kenny Pickett is out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a rib injury.

Pickett was evaluated in the locker room and the team decided to keep him out. Mitchell Trubisky is now in at quarterback. Pickett went 10/16 for 73 yards and was sacked once.

Falcons QB Desmond Ridder is being evaluated for a concussion and Taylor Heinicke is now in at quarterback.

Ridder certainly got roughed up in the first half, getting sacked five times and lost a fumble. He was 8/12 for 71 yards and added 26 yards on three rushing attempts. The offense again continued to struggle, scoring just six points in the first half and now there will be many more questions surrounding the unit. It will be interesting to see hoe Heinicke performs and if he can steal the starting job away from Ridder.

Giants TE Darren Waller is out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Jets with a hamstring injury.

This was a very quick rule-out for Waller, so he may be missing time. Waller missed time in 2022 as well with a hamstring injury. He was also limited this week because of the hamstring. This is a brutal blow in what has already been a disastrous year for the Giants.

Saints WR Michael Thomas was added to the injury report Saturday with an illness and is now questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts.

The Saints are in the early window, so we’ll know by late Sunday morning if Thomas is able to play. Thomas has been able to catch a few passes each game, but certainly is not the fantasy wide receiver he once was. He’s a flex play at best if he does play. If not, Rashid Shaheed gets a boost in value.

The Lions officially ruled out RB David Montgomery for Week 8 against the Raiders.

This was expected after Montgomery has yet to return to practice. The Lions were always likely to rest Montgomery this week with their bye week coming in Week 9. Jahmyr Gibbs became more involved in the offense with Montgomery out last week and should expect the same in what should be a much better matchup this week against the Raiders compared to last week against the Ravens. Gibbs is a strong play this week while Craig Reynolds is a deep flex option.

Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said Saturday that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is “good to go” for Monday night against the Lions. Brian Hoyer got the start last week against the Bears as Garoppolo missed with a back injury. It went about as well as you’d expect. The Raiders have their guy back but he’ll face an angry Lions team that got completely tamed by the Ravens last week. Jimmy G just cracks our top 25 this week.

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and will play Sunday against the Bengals.

Purdy was a full participant in practice Friday and now has no official injury designation for the game. There was concern early in the week that Purdy would not be able to go and that Sam Darnold would get the start. But his progress improved over the week, a short one at that, and now Purdy is back. Even with Deebo Samuel still out, Purdy is still a top-10 option for us this week.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert said he will play Sunday vs. the Patriots.

Just had a little ankle tweak that had him miss practice on Wednesday. He returned Thursday & Friday and is all good.

If Mostert is available for Week 8, you absolutely MUST put him in lineups. We'll keep an eye on this status through the weekend.

Titans ruled out QB Ryan Tannehill for Sunday’s game vs the Falcons. Will Levis and Malik Willis will replace him.

Getting a peak at Levis makes a ton of sense, as Malik Willis hasn't looked incredible when given the opportunity to run the offense. Neither option should be started this week, but with a good showing, Levis could be more on our radar if Tannehill misses extended time.

This is late in the week for clearance, which makes Ford's Week 8 fantasy aspirations shaky. The Browns backfield feels a lot like a stayaway in a slate with no Bye Weeks.
