Brock Purdy aggravated the stinger injury he initially suffered against the Cardinals in Week 15. But Purdy said after the game that he’s expecting to be fine for the Week 17 game against Washington and head coach Kyle Shanahan reiterated the same on Tuesday.

Purdy completed 18-of-32 passes for 255 yards with no touchdowns and four interceptions, working out to a career-worst 42.6 passer rating. In his most extended playing time of the season, Darnold finished the game 8-of-14 for 81 yards with a touchdown and a pick, the story said. The Niners travel to Washington in Week 17.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Vikings are taking a long look at whether Nick Mullens should be benched for rookie Jaren Hall.

After playing well in Saturday’s victory over the Bengals, Mason Rudolph is once again in line to start for the Steelers in Week 17.

But head coach Mike Tomlin stopped short of saying Rudolph will definitely start on New Year’s Eve against the Seahawks.

According to ESPN's Lisa Salters, Brock Purdy has a shoulder stinger and was cleared to return with the 49ers trailing 33-19. The injury against Baltimore is an aggravation of a stinger he suffered in San Francisco's Week 15 win over Arizona.

Darnold took over in the game, but it sounds like entering the game was more about Purdy's performance. One would assume Purdy will get the call in Week 17 as long as he's healthy. The Niners travel to take on the Commanders and it seems like it could be a "get-right" game for Purdy and the 49ers, but be sure to follow the injury reports this week.

Josh McDaniel said that Jaylen Waddle has a high ankle injury and that the severity of it was still being evaluated. With that evaluation still going on, there’s no word on his status for Week 17’s showdown with the Ravens but McDaniel acknowledged such injuries can be “tricky” even as he expressed hope in Waddle fighting through it.

When Waddle was injured against the Cowboys on Sunday, word was that he hurt his shin but head coach Mike McDaniel said on Monday that the injury is actually that of a high ankle nature. Owners will need to keep an eye on this injury heading into Week 17.

Speaking to the media following the conclusion of the game Monday afternoon, Reid confirmed what was feared regarding running back Isiah Pacheco. The second-year man has a concussion that forced him out of action.

Monday marked Pacheco's first game since Week 13, as the former seventh-round pick missed two consecutive games with a shoulder issue, the story said. Late in the third quarter, Pacheco hauled in a short pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes on a second-and-14 play. After turning upfield, Pacheco's helmet came off and he was hit in the head by the right knee of center Creed Humphrey. Pacheco's status for Week 17 is now certainly in doubt, especially considering it's a short week.

Initial outlook is ‘not good’ on Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson’s knee injury, per source.

Hockenson put together another Pro Bowl-type season with 95 catches for 960 yards and five TDs, the story added. The hope at this point is that Hock's injury doesn't carry over into next season but that certainly is possible based on this report.

It looks like the Raiders’ bid to end their losing streak against the Chiefs will unfold without the help of running back Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs was listed as questionable for the Christmas game in Kansas City and Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that he will be inactive for the game. Jacobs has a quad injury and an illness.

Monday’s game would be the second in a row that Jacobs has missed. It's a tough break for owners who waited with hope that Jacobs would play as all the reports leading up to today seemed positive. It looks like White, Abdullah and Bolden will split up the RB duties today in a tough matchup against the Chiefs.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers with a shoulder injury.

A nightmare day continues for the Jaguars. At one point, the Jaguars were down 30-0 and now have watched their quarterback get injured for the second time in three weeks. The Jaguars have quickly gone from No. 1 seed contender to squarely on the playoff bubble. C.J. Beathard is in at quarterback.

The Vikings ruled out TE T.J. Hockenson (knee) and WR Jordan Addison (ankle) for the rest of Sunday’s game against the Lions.

In a short period of time, the Vikings have lost two of their top offensive weapons as they try to hang around with the Lions and keep their playoff and division hopes alive. Justin Jefferson is still around which is always a positive but the offense certainly takes a hit. We’ll see if the Vikings can overcome these injuries in a big moment.
