Bengals designate RB Chase Brown for return

The Bengals have cleared RB Chase Brown to practice by designating him for return from IR.

They also signed QB Drew Plitt to the practice squad and placed OL Jaxson Kirkland on the Practice Squad Injured list.

Fantasy Impact:

While normally this may not be all that important of a story in terms of fantasy, the Bengals sit at 5-5 and just lost franchise QB Joe Burrow for the remainder of the season. It's possible the Bengals see what they have in some of their younger players, and this could be especially be true at the RB position where the team has some youth behind Mixon - who is 27 but getting up there in age in terms of RBs. Brown may be worth a stash in deeper leagues.

The Eagles and star WR A.J. Brown agreed to terms on a new 3-year extension for $96M, the highest for any WR in NFL history. He’s now under contract through 2029 & his total guarantee of $84M is also the highest.

Fantasy Impact:

The Eagles are not messing around with their top two receivers, inking this deal just 10 days after locking in DeVonta Smith. Jalen Hurts remains insulated with high-level talent.

Lions extend WR Amon-Ra St. Brown

The Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents. They agreed on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets four years and more than $120M, with $77M guaranteed.

Fantasy Impact:

Good move for the Lions, who lock in their No. 1 pass-catching option. They will still likely address the position in the NFL Draft, but that shouldn't impact St. Brown.

The Jets are trading QB Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos. The deal: Wilson and a 7th to Denver for a 6th.

Fantasy Impact:

It's hard to picture this prohibiting the team from taking a QB in the NFL Draft but it certainly insulates them a little bit if they end up unable to move up where they want. Wilson's dynasty SuperFlex value will at least improve in the short term.
