I am in a $200 salary cap league with (2) QB positions, 1 Starter (4)RB positions 2 Starters, (4) WR positons 2 Starters, (2)TE positons, 1 Starter , 1 K positon, 1 starter, (1) Def. position 1 starter Standard scoring 6 Pt TD for all offensive positons including QB

Have seen the recent ESPN top 300 with associated Auction Values and I have a dilemma with my current roster. Looking for some ideas of who to keep, who to cut and who to target.

(QB) R. Wilson [$22] , J. Cutler [$1] (RB) E. Lacy [$55], A. Morris [$29], A Ellington [$11], L. Murray [$15] (WR) A. Brown [$50], O. Beckham Jr. [$40], A. Jeffery [$36], M Bryant [$4] (TE) T. Kelce [$6] C. Jordan [$1] A. Vinatieri, Rams Def.

As one can see I have a good problem in that I have a lot of scoring potential, but like the words to that song by the Lovin Spoonful , “Did you every have to make up your mind, you pick up on one and leave the other behind”

Here is my thought process: Keep R. Wilson, E. Lacy , A. Brown, O Beckham Jr., T. Kelce, C. Jordan as my core players. My number one priority is a RB #2 .
Can’t afford Morris now that he has a new road grader to block for him. Ellington is fragile and YPC was low 3’s. Maybe better this year but $11 seems too much risk with my remaining budget. L. Murray has few starts to go on and they muddled the situation with T. Richardson and another stone in the mix, just can’t see $15 is worth the risk of what’s left of my budget. I am thinking of targeting some lower priced guys that may have RB #2 upside: Jay Ajayi, J. Randel, R. Mathews, D. Cobb, I Crowell, D. McFadden ?? (Injury history) Other receivers : I like the upside of M Bryant but on the same team as Brown so not much help for a bye week. Also like for the right price D. Parker, J. White, N. Agholor, M. Jones, D.G.Beckham

I know many including M. Berry like to have two running backs early in a conventional draft, but I feel that it is becoming a passing league and my two WR are just too darned good to give up one of them. I am considering R. Wilson as a possible drop even though I have had him for two years and he is going to produce good numbers on a consistent basis but there are those who think his rushing yardage is going to take a hit as the team transitions to a more pass friendly attack. So is it a trade off with more weapons like J. Graham or not, and how soon will that take place. I could possibly get a QB like Romo, Tannahill or even Palmer and spend the difference on a for sure RB 2 like a Morris.
Any ideas from the brain trust at 4 for 4. If possible, run this by J. Paulson and get his thoughts as to what way to go.
Thanks for the support

I think that's a pretty good plan honestly. I like Wilson, but Ryan and Romo are both solid options and if Tannehill doesn't break out this year, then I don't think he ever will. I think Ryan should have better support around him this year than he's had the last couple seasons.

I love Gurley if he's healthy, and so far so good on that front according to all the reports on his rehab.

I really like your WR's too, so I'd probably hang on to both of them. There is some risk with ODB though, because historically speaking, at least a couple of those rookie receivers from last year will turn out to be disappointments. I think ODB doesn't seem like he'll be the one though, as he was just a monster toward the end of last year. So I'm on board keeping both WR's.

Love Lacy, would hang on to him. I think it's reasonable to hang on to Kelce and Jordan, though I like the TE's available for $1 or $2 also (Jordan Cameron, Dwayne Allen, etc).

I would ultimately keep Morris over Wilson. I'm okay with doing the opposite, but I think you'd be better off going that route, locking up two RB's and getting Romo for less.

As another thought, could you try to get a guy like Melvin Gordon and not keep Morris or Wilson? Or maybe keep Wilson, go for Gordon, and swap Kelce for a couple of $1 upside TE's?

Just thinking...

I may hang on to Ellington trusting that Bruce Erins will get him the ball. Thinking of dropping both Wilson and Morris and going after Todd Gurley and probably have a shot at Matt Ryan , T. Romo, R. Tannahill, or maybe even Bradford. Just have to see how the draft pans out.
