I'm noticing that 4for4 has the auction value of top receivers seemingly much lower than many other resources I'm using.

My league is 1QB/2RB/2WR/FLEX/TE/K/D
4 point passing TD 6 point rushing/receiving TD.

Looking at your top projected point scorers at each position you have:

Adrian Peterson: 231
Antonio Brown: 223

But your auction values are:
Adrian Peterson: 63$
Antonio Brown: 41$

Is this mainly just due to depth at WR? And maybe the idea that RB's are guaranteed touches while WR need to have the ball thrown to them?

When I expand the projected points vs projected $ value in groups of 12 (we're a 12 team league so I just went with that):

12:Frank Gore 183PP/43$
12:Emmanual Sanders 167/19$

24:Joseph Randle 144PP/28$
24:Larry Fitzgerald 141PP/8$

36:Shane Vereen 109/13$
36:Mike Wallace 129/4$

48:Denard Robinson 73/1$
48:Davante Parker 113/1$

I know I'm not offering any advanced statistical analysis here but the & value of top stud receivers being so low kinda' spooks me even with the availability of cheaper, lesser tier WRs who still have value.

Is this a different philosophy than the other sites I'm reading or am I maybe doing something wrong? I can't seem to find anyone else that has more than a 10$ difference between the top RBs and WRs, and here it seems to be consistently around 20$.

That being said, you guys are the experts. I just want to understand the information.

Thanks for your time

Sure, I get that. The secret here is that 4for4 has always leaned RB, for years. The last couple years are really the first time I've seen the people at this site start to favor receivers, so this is a new thing. Scott I know has always been a RB guy, and I've always been one as well.

That being said, I think the depth at WR is the biggest reason for the difference for us. While RB has depth as well in recent years, largely due to the emergence of RBBC situations that have found a way to have two guys who produce on the same team, the difference between having guys like AP and Lacy on your team is usually pretty different versus having stud WR's on your team.

Still, we have Brown listed at a pretty high value, so we like them enough, but I tend to agree with you I think that the value is there later at the WR position. I've seen Brandon Marshall go for anywhere between $4-14, showing tremendous value late as you fill in your roster.
