I'm playing in a PPR league and a win this week would essentially have me locked in for the playoffs.
My team
QB:Ryan, Romo
RB:McCoy, Forte, Gurley, Ivory
WR:Landry, Jordan Matthews, D. Adams, Watkins, Lafell, Hankerson.
TE:Olsen
Kicker: McManus
Defense:Patriots
With not many good available qbs to pick up I don't know who would be the better start between the 2 I have. Also, while not being too strong at WR position, starting a rb in my flex would probably be best option, as to which of 3 I'm unsure. McCoy I feel is a must start of those 4 but unsure of which one i should bench this week. I should add that Lacy has been dropped in our league and was thinking about dropping a good chunk or the rest of my bid money for him, mainly to add more depth but to prevent someone else who's weak at rb to obtain him, with only a few weeks left and not many solid options to hope for, would that be a good idea? Finally, again being not too strong at wr I feel Landry is a must start but out of the rest of my wideouts I'm having trouble deciding who to go with. Any input or help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
I would probably lean Romo. It's not a great matchup I know but Thanksgiving, at home, with a win under their belt and trying to make a push - I can see him having a good game. I just like the offense he's in.
I would get Lacy for all the reasons you said, depth, keeping him away from opponents, etc. Plus he could eventually be a guy you can trust and play if he keeps up what he did last week. As far as the RBs you play, I would probably sit Ivory, even with Forte just coming back ... he just seems like a better option to me right now. I think Jets are trying to save Ivory and/or he's not quite healthy.
As for the WR play, Adams or LaFell would be my two picks. Pretty good matchup for Adams but LaFell should have a big workload too, just not a great matchup. I think I'd lean Adams just for the matchup but LaFell may be more attractive a guy who should get a lot of targets.
I would definitely start Romo. You've probably been carrying him for a while to play him right? so go for it. He shook the rust off last week and should be decent to good at home against Carolina's #7 pass d. Plus Ryan blows on the road and Minn is #6 pass D.
As for you RB's... this will be Forte's first week back after missing the last 3 games. I'd sit him and see if he's fully healthy. If he gets dinged up a early Chicago will roll with Langford.
Lacy looked like he's back last week. Definitely worth picking up.
WR's ouch... Landry and Watkins
Good luck
