He fellas! So im currently picking 2nd in a 12 team ppr league. My keepers are Beckham Jr with the 4th round pick and Russell Wilson for a 6th round pick.

Having Beckham who is a top 3 WR and probably top 3-5 fantasy player as its a PPR league, Im leaning towards drafting Antonio Brown if Im lucky and hes still on the board and if not then Julio Jones. What do you feel about this scenario or should I be going RB with the 2nd pick like Gurley/Peterson?

My only worry in drafting Brown/Jones is my RB1 is going to be the likes of Forte/Hyde/Mccoy in the 2nd round which isnt very strong. But the WRs I feel are stronger in that range in the Evans/ Cooks/ Cooper. So should I just go best available with the 2nd pick and grab another top 3 reciever or think ahead?

So basically what looks stronger...

drafting Brown/Jones:
WR- Odell Beckham Jr
WR- Julio Jones/Antonio Brown
RB- Lesean McCoy
RB- Carlos Hyde

drafting Gurley/Peterson
WR- Odell Beckham Jr
WR- Mike Evans
RB-Todd Gurley/Adrian Peterson
RB-Carlos Hyde

Thanks!

I may be the wrong person to answer this question. Pretty much what we're preaching at the site this year the Zero-RB strategy, so what a majority of people may tell you is the best strategy is to go ahead and take Brown or Jones with your first pick and then settle for one of those RBs as your RB1. I think if Brown is there, the choice is pretty easy and you take Brown. That would be hard for me not to do.

If he's not, I would be very tempted to take one of those backs over Jones. I like having a very good, dependable back. It's just the way I've done things since I started playing fantasy football and it's hard to break that mold because I've been successful with it.

Looking at the two teams, I think it's pretty close. I think having OBJ and Brown is way too good to pass up. Obviously it comes down to Evans/Gurley vs. Brown/McCoy and which duo you prefer.

I think my short answer is if Brown falls to you, take him, but if it's Jones, I'd have no issue taking a RB there.
