I am working on my Def rankings. I am coming up with two different ranking for Def. teams. (1) SOS - worst to best and (2) 2015 Defensive team rankings. Which ranking should I use ? Example in the SOS they have the Jets ranked # 3 def and they have the Jets ranked # 10 in the 2015 Defensive team rankings. For the Dolphins one have them ranked #9 and the other have them ranked # 5.
Defenses can be difficult to gauge, but I tend to go with the Defensive team rankings rather than solely the SOS. I will however sometimes use SOS in order to pick a pair of defenses to work together, and/or evaluate which Defense I want to use as my main one based on how the schedule lines up with another defense likely to be available on waivers.
