With the Welker suspension does Latimer become worth a play? I have to fill a WR#3 spot and have the options of Baldwin, Boykin, Britt, and Latimer. I'm leaning toward Baldwin, please advise
I don't think I'd play him yet, would rather wait and see. I just posted a news item not that long ago about how Latimer and Tamme would benefit the most if Welker missed time. That was before we found out he was suspended and it was based on his concussion. The piece mentioned that Latimer is a red zone target based on his size.
If you needed a WR2 I might play Baldwin. For a WR 3, why night shoot for the moon. This game has shootout potential. Latimer and Caldwell will split time on the outside. Manning and Latimer just need to connect on one play to make him worth starting as a WR2.
I am currenty considering Latimer over Cordarelle Patterson this week.....not sure if I can pull that trigger though.
