Should i drop cousins to pick up Mckinnon? i have Peyton Manning (who's already passed his bye) and Asiata (who may give starter role to Mckinnon at some point). There are other QBs in FA should Peyton get hurt (small chance), think it would be better to grab Mckinnon while I still can. Another benefit is that this is a 2-player keeper league, may be nice to have Mckinnon for next year. Is this crazy?

Cousins has some tough matchups coming up and could struggle so I think this is a decent move. Vikes said McKinnon not ready for full workload but doesn't meant he won't ever get it. As long as you can afford to stash a couple weeks and feel it out I think it's a good move.

Edit. That should Asiata will give up the starting role. I think he's there to stay. Plus he's getting all the goaline carries

I wouldn't be so sure that McKinnon will give up the starting role. Did you see that fool run this weekend??? He's a beast. I would say roll with Pey Pey and Asiata. If there are indications that Asiata is struggling, you can snag him before anyone else is even looking.
