With rookie Patriots Stevan Ridley integrated into the mix, a closer look at how the running back snaps were split in the Patriots' 31-19 win over the Raiders (as charted in press box):
BenJarvus Green-Ellis -- 39 of 66
Stevan Ridley -- 19 of 66
Danny Woodhead -- 6 of 66
Ridley played five snaps in the first half and saw extended time in the second half with Woodhead sidelined with what looked like a left ankle injury.
With Woodhead injured, Ridley saw more time and sometimes that's all it takes for a rookie to take hold of a position. Ridley is someone to keep an eye on, and probably even pickup if you haven't already, especially in leagues where you can afford roster spots. The Patriots running game is always a guess as to what their game plan is but Ridley clearly has at least flex potential.
