Raiders RB Maurice Jones-Drew 'day to day' after 'procedure' on hand

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew missed practice Wednesday with a hand injury and his status for the regular-season home opener against the Houston Texans is in question.

Darren McFadden took first-team reps at running back, with Latavius Murray working with the second team.

According to CSN-Bay Area, Jones-Drew had a "procedure" on his hand that wasn't considered serious. Jones-Drew also had a hand-injury during training camp, but coach Dennis Allen said the current injury is unrelated.

"He's day to day," Allen said. "We'll see whenever he's available and ready to go."

Fantasy Impact:

McFadden would get a big bump if MJD can't play. Alfred Morris averaged 6.5 YPC against the Texans last week, though the Redskins have a better running game than the Raiders do.
