The two reserve tight ends who have stood out in training camp to me are Tony Moeaki and Greg Scruggs.
With Zach Miller sidelined due to a concussion, Moeaki has helped fill the void as a pass catcher, making several receptions, including a couple for touchdowns. The Wheaton native had a great rookie season with the Chiefs in 2010, but his career has been derailed by injuries.
Scruggs is playing TE as a former defensive end and has taken the most steps according to Jay Cutler, who was quoted in the story. Miller is still sidelined with a concussion which is allowing others to step up in his place. Moeaki obviously has the most experience at the position and would seem to be next in line if Miller remains out.
Bennett has a price tag of $5 million for the 2016 season, but he didn't have a very good season, catching just 53 passes for 439 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. He turns 29 in March. Meanwhile, Zachary Miller posted 34-439-5. He was the #5 TE over the final nine weeks of the season, and that includes Week 17, which he missed due to injury. Miller is 31 years old and has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career, but he'll be a compelling pick in the later rounds if he's the clear starter in Chicago.

Bears TE Martellus Bennett (ribs, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 13. It looks like Bennett will make his return this week, though he’s been outplayed by Zach Miller in the last few weeks. The Bears will be without Marquess Wilson and probably Eddie Royal as well, so Bennett should see plenty of work.

Miller had his contract terminated with the designation of "failed physical." Miller played in just three games last season before undergoing ankle surgery in late September. He was placed on injured reserve in November after complications slowed his recovery.

Miller had ankle surgery following a week three win over Denver with the thought he would be back in four-to-six weeks or so.
But Carroll said the ankle never responded and Miller will not be able to play this season.
Carroll says backup tight ends Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet have a chance to play this Sunday at Kansas City despite each battling minor injuries — Willson a sprained ankle and Helfet a banged knee.
