Cribbs injured his right shoulder in the Jets' 23-3 loss to Miami on Sunday. Coach Rex Ryan said Monday that the injury appeared "pretty serious."
Matt Hasselbeck will continue to start for the Titans. Kenny Britt is active, but is coming off a short week and not 100%. Kendall Wright and Nate Washington will also be in the mix. With Javon Ringer out 4+ weeks, Jamie Harper and Darius Reynaud will work behind Chris Johnson. In a perfect world, Titans HC Mike Munchak would like to get them both some touches.

Yeah, obviously, (Jamie) Harper will suit up. I think both of them—they’ll both get an opportunity to be in, they’ll both be dressed, just depending on how the game goes. I hope that we get to run the ball 25, 30 times and they’ll both get a chance to run.
Munchak on if it would be nice to use Jamie Harper as a change-of-pace back:
Yeah, obviously, we think Jamie (Harper) is a real good back. We like (Javon) Ringer. Again, Ringer brings experience and protection, things like that and he’s very familiar with that, so that was kind of the edge he had over (Harper) on a weekly basis. Obviously, Harper is a much bigger man and is a different type of runner so that’s why we drafted him, so you would hope he would play at some point. We’ve just got to be patient. I know it’s frustrating for a running back when you’re not getting the chance to play like you’d like to, like he did his rookie year because of (Chris Johnson) holding out, so he’ll be up now, and it’s more or less how the flow of the games go. There’s no plan to, right now, you know, if we carry the ball or not, if we get 10 carries, he won’t be carrying it, but if we do what we hope we do and we’re carrying it 35 times, then hopefully he’ll get a handful of those carries.

Victor Cruz has a real chance to be the third receiver in a very crowded competition.
But if he wants to make something of that chance he’ll have to do much more than the one catch for 10 yards he had last week. Domenik Hixon (4-49) is the favorite for the job, but Cruz does have some explosive potential as he showed last year in the preseason against the Jets.

Reynaud hasn't looked that great, so this might be even more good news for New York's defense/special teams. They should put up big numbers tomorrow.
With Darius Reynaud off to New York, Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will return to his kickoff return role and also could factor down on the line on punt returns, although Bernard Berrian and Greg Camarillo are expected to handle those duties in Thursday's opener at New Orleans.
Harvin missed most of camp and played in only one preseason game while grieving the death of a grandmother and battling migraine headaches. He continued to express optimism on Sunday that the team and doctors have gotten the migraine situation under control by limiting his stress and examining his diet, down to certain types of salt in the foods he eats.
"I ran all the plays with the ones (Sunday)," Harvin said. "Feel good. I work on my own sometimes as far as conditioning-wise. So, I feel great flying around (Sunday), and we'll see."
In leagues that factor in returns (either with yardage or touchdowns or both), Harvin is a player you want to have. Of course, he's probably someone you wouldn't mind having in pretty much any format. He should be considered a risky pick, but one with lots of upside.

They took some steps in the right direction Saturday night during the team's 24-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Favre’s two newest targets made pretty good impressions just days after arriving in Minnesota.
Favre, who was coaxed back for a 20th NFL season on Aug. 18, played eight series on Saturday night. He led the Vikings to one field goal and a touchdown, a 24-yard run by Adrian Peterson that was set up by a 73-yard kickoff return by Darius Reynaud.
Peterson finished with 37 yards on 11 carries.
The Vikings also had to be encouraged by Percy Harvin’s return. The reigning offensive rookie of the year has only practiced six times this preseason because of recurring migraine headaches, including a bout that caused trainers to call an ambulance to practice just over a week ago.
Harvin had two catches for 30 yards.

The Vikings likely will keep only three running backs so the competition for that third spot will be hotly contested in camp.
Young is entering his third season with the Vikings and has a firm grasp of the offense, so he might be the early favorite.
"I love Albert," coach Brad Childress said. "He knows it forward and backward."
