The Jaguars are hoping Denard Robinson has an impact in the running back rotation.
“I’m intrigued to see,” coach Gus Bradley said at last week’s NFL Scouting Combine. “He’s really competitive, and he’s really spirited. I think he went through last year and said, ‘OK, I don’t want to go through that feeling again.’ ”
That feeling was one of frustration. Robinson, 22, played 52 out of 1,056 snaps last year. In 10 games, he played no more than two snaps.
“I don’t think [Robinson] is a gimmick guy,” Bradley countered. “He can maybe run outside zone and get to the point where he runs north. But how can you tell off 10 runs?”
