The Giants were hoping Hakeem Nicks would get through practice despite the ankle injury he sustained Sunday. He started but he didn’t finish, which left Tom Coughlin worried about the availability of the receiver who had three TD catches against the Panthers.
“We’re hoping,” Coughlins said when asked if he’ll make it Sunday night. “I really was hoping he’d get to do something today but that wasn’t the case. It’s hard to play well without practice. There are just so many things that happen out there.”
Nicks exploded for 3 TDs last week and we've been high on him as a sleeper middle round pick all summer, so, this becomes a situation to watch. Mario Manningham could fill in as a starter if Nicks can't go.
