Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme will undergo tests on his right ankle, which he hurt during Sunday’s 17-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs, coach Eric Mangini said today.
Mangini did not specify whether he’ll undergo X-rays or an MRI or both. He indicated that the tests will be conducted within the next couple of days.
Delhomme twisted the ankle near the end of the first half, and was seen limping. Delhomme said after the game that the ankle was fine and that it was no excuse for his performance, which included two interceptions. Mangini said that he checked with Delhomme and the trainers during the game and all agreed that he was OK to continue playing.
