The Cleveland Browns have a young group of receivers, and Browns GM Tom Heckert hasn't ruled out bringing in some veteran help, but he won't be reaching out to Terrell Owens.
"That's not the direction we're headed," he said. "There's a lot of factors that go into that. I think at this stage of his career, this isn't a place he'd be looking at. We don't plan on talking to him."
From a football perspective, Owens could help the Browns, despite the fact his best days are behind him. But Owens has baggage and he doesn't offer the right kind of veteran leadership. Even if he catches on somewhere, his days as a premier weapon in fantasy football are over.
