DET RB Reggie Bush - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
In his first season with the Lions, Reggie Bush put up stellar numbers – when he was healthy. Playing in 14 games, the former Heisman Trophy winner ran for over 1,000 yards for the second time in his career and registered 54 grabs, 506 yards and seven total TDs. Reggie eclipsed the century mark three times on the ground alone and combined for at least 100 yards seven times. His 223 rushing attempts were the second most of his career. His 54 receptions were the most he’s posted in a season since ’07 and his 9.4 yards per catch were a career high.

Fantasy Downside
Bush is 29 and may be losing some playing time and carries to backups Joique Bell, who received a hefty three-year contract during the off-season, and Theo Reddick. With the signing of traditional fullback Jed Collins, expect Detroit to show more two back sets. Also, new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi was part of a system in New Orleans that featured a multitude of tailbacks in the mix; last season no Saints RB had more than 150 carries.

Bottom Line
Bush may be overdrafted this year based on last year's numbers. With Bell signing the long-term deal, he should end up being a bigger part of the offense. It’s possible Joique may take over as the featured back with Bush becoming a Darren Sproles-like player as more of the receiving specialist out of the backfield. Reggie’s ADP is the fourth round. He's worth that price tag in PPR formats.
