10 for 10 with Ian: Week 13 Top Plays on FantasyAces - The Johnny Football Edition (Don't Actually Play Him Please)

It’s been an up and down last half century of sports for Ohioans. By up, I mean Ohio State Buckeyes football, and by down, I mean Cleveland.

Yes, it’s been 67 long years since the Indians have won the World Series. Recent collapses against the Florida Marlins in 1997 and the Boston Red Sox in 2007 haven’t exactly helped this tradition of losing, but Indians fans can at least always escape their reality in the form of Major League and, more importantly, Wild Thing.

As for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ history of losing, I think these Browns fans summed it up better than I ever could.

And then there are the Browns. Being a Browns fan means: jerseys counting all of your failed quarterbacks, articles specifically describing every last second defeat from the last 15 years, and most recently, the refusal from your coach to start your first round quarterback because he was videotaped drunk and lied to the coaches about it during the Browns bye week.

Johnny Manziel is the most exciting college football player I have ever watched. Can he be a consistently successful NFL quarterback? I don’t know. I do know that undrafted Austin Davis (who last year was cut by the Rams, of all teams) has nowhere near the upside of Manziel, and is definitely not the Browns long-term solution at quarterback.

It’s obvious at this point that the Browns coaches are fed up with Manziel; so cut him! Keeping a quarterback who gives your team a better chance at winning on the bench is not a good look for anyone involved. If the Browns are refusing to use these final five games as an opportunity to truly see if Manziel can be their quarterback of the future, just do both parties a favor and cut or trade the guy now.

In honor of Johnny’s incredibly consistent devotion to not stay on the straight and narrow path of doing the “right” thing all the time, this week’s 10for10 is embracing Johnny Football for what he truly is: the guy who heroically allowed all of us the opportunity to start the Bengals defense against Austin Freaking Davis and the Cleveland Browns this week.

QB Cam Newton $7,300 @ New Orleans

This week’s edition of “Which quarterback gets to face New Orleans” features a legitimately good quarterback for a change! Having been shredded by Brian Hoyer, Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota and Eli Manning in consecutive weeks, this New Orleans pass defense faces its biggest challenge of the season in the form of MVP candidate/professional touchdown celebrator Cam Newton.
