Scouting report

NYJ RB Frank Gore - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Buffalo
Frank Gore had his best fantasy outing in several weeks with 11 carries for 46 yards, but more important he got involved in the passing game with a season-high four receptions for 24 yards. Considering he only played 35% of the snaps, the numbers are pretty impressive and when he is in the game, the Jets are getting him the ball.

Gore will face the Bills who are 19th in aFPA to running backs. It will be interesting to see how the Jets use him moving forward. They are playing LaMical Perine a lot more, but Gore is still putting up the best numbers on the team at running back.

Gore does have value because New York seems to want to stick with the veteran. The lack of time on the field is probably to save his body, because he has shown he is still a capable back in the NFL. Start him as an RB3 or flex for Week 7.

NYJ RB Frank Gore - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Miami
Frank Gore's carries have gone from 21 to 15 to 13 to 9 over the past four weeks. However, Gore is the legit No. 1 running back for now with LeVeon Bell being released. That should mean more carries than the 9 from last week, but LaMical Perine is also waiting in the wings and the Jets really like the young back.

Gore will face the Dolphins who are ranked 20th in aFPA to running backs this season. It's a favorable matchup that should give him some value if he gets the touches. At this point, who else will in this very bad New York offense?

Start Gore as an RB3 or flex for Week 6. We anticipate him to be back up to 12-15 carries which are enough against a below-average defense to help your team out.

NYJ RB Frank Gore - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Arizona
Frank Gore is still getting aroun 15 touches each week, but the results have been very average. He hasn't score a touchdown and the Jets offense hasn't been good so his value remains very low.

Gore will face Arizona who is 19th in aFPA to tight ends. With a new quarterback behind center, maybe the New York offense can be re-energized, but more likely we will see the Same Old Jets.

Keep Gore on the bench for Week 5. Until we see the Jets offense improve overall, his value is only the touches and that's not enough to help your fantasy team.

NYJ RB Frank Gore - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Denver
Frank Gore has picked up considerable workload since Le'Veon Bell went down. He has had 36 carries for 120 yards the last two games. He isn't involved in the passing game, but he has become the primary back for a very bad Jets offense, for now.

Gore has a tough matchup on Thursday against a Denver defense that is ranked sixth in aFPA to running backs. The Broncos are banged up but the defense has still been good against the run.

The Jets offense is a mess, but Gore still somehow manages to have some success, even at the age of 37. He does have value in standard leagues because of the volume. Start him as a low-end RB3 or Flex for Week 4. However, avoid him in PPR leagues.

NYJ RB Frank Gore - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Indianapolis
Frank Gore carried the ball 21 times for 63 yards as he fills in for LeVeon Bell. The veteran still can be the workhorse and although his role is only temporary, he gave some decent value to those who picked him up last week. With all the injuries at running back, Gore can be a factor in 2020.

This week's opponent Indianapolis is ranked eighth in aFPA to running backs. So, it is a tough matchup for Gore and since the Jets offense has struggled, it will be hard to have much more success than he did last week and that came because of volume.

Gore is a possible start in standard leagues as a low-end RB3 or Flex. But stay away from him in PPR leagues as he is not involved in the passing game.

NYJ RB Frank Gore - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs San Francisco
With LeVeon Bell on IR, Frank Gore becomes the next man up. The veteran running back seems ageless, but even though he might be the best option, you have to think the Jets will use a running back by committee approach. Gore rushed six times for 24 yards in the opener.

The matchup is not easy as the 49ers are second in aFPA to running backs. Even if Gore gets a majority of the carries, he doesn't have much value because the Jets offense is bad. Keep Gore on the bench for Week 2 although he could be a good pickup as New York might ride him as long as they can and Gore might have some value later in the season.

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Dallas
Frank Gore rushed the ball 15 times for 65 yards as the Bills back running back. It won't be a regular occurrence with Devin Singletary now the No. 1 back. Gore still shows he has it but the Bills have moved forward with the younger player.

The Cowboys are up next, but we don't think Gore will be a big part of the game plan. Keep Gore on the bench for Week 13.
