The Commanders placed RB Chris Rodriguez Jr (ankle) on IR. Ends his season early.

After a key injury to Brian Robinson, we got to see a little bit more of the rookie, including a two-touchdown in Week 16, which was nice for dynasty owners who took a stab in rookie drafts. There's a chance that Antonio Gibson gets a huge workload ahead of a touch matchup against the 49ers in Week 17.

Missing a Wednesday practice isn't a big deal for a vet, but for a rookie that's been dealing with a toe issue, it's a different story. Achane has been limited in his last two games, garnering 22 opportunities (carries + targets) for only 93 combined yards and 11.3 half-PPR fantasy points. Against a stout Ravens run-defense, it could be difficult to trust him as more than a FLEX play, though his explosiveness can turn any touch into a huge play, so it may be all about risk tolerance in Week 17.

The Patriots are placing starting RB Rhamondre Stevenson on Injured Reserve, ending his season.

This clears the way for Elliott to continue taking the majority workload for the last two games of the regular season, making him an RB2 the rest of the way. As for Stevenson's long-term view, we can only hope for some sort of overhaul to the Patriot's pedestrian offense.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Jaylen Waddle’s high ankle sprain is not overly severe and he hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday vs. Ravens yet.

With Waddle only logging 17 routes in Week 16, the target share for Tyreek Hill predictably increased, as he turned 14 targets into a 9-99 stat line. Tight end Durham Smythe also saw five targets for the first time since Week 1. In a tough matchup against the Ravens, Waddle should be considered a lower-end WR2 if he were to go, with Tyreek a locked-in top-five option regardless.

Steichen confirms WR Michael Pittman Jr. is still in concussion protocol, "but he's progressing well."

Pittman was ruled out late in the week ahead of what looked like a good on-paper matchup against the Falcons. He was clearly missed, as the passing offense never got going with any consistency. If he is cleared in time to play Week 17, he should be considered a WR2 against the Raiders.

The Broncos are strongly considering having QB Russell Wilson sit for the final two games, preserving financial flexibility for the offseason.

Wilson has $37M in 2025 salary that vests in March of 2024, and if he suffered a serious injury, it would complicate matters.

Well this is quite the bombshell. The Broncos have a very good fantasy matchup coming up this weekend, as Wilson was in-line for a face-off against a pedestrian Chargers defense. Stidham offers a decent top-18 option, if he were to get the nod. We'll keep an eye on this story for the rest of the week.

Tyrod Taylor will start vs the Rams, per Brian Daboll

Taylor will find himself in a very positive matchup against the Ram's secondary, but the Giant's skill position group is lacking, providing him with little ceiling. He should be kept off starting lineups in all but the deepest of 2QB leagues.

The Commanders are making a QB change with two games left. Following his impressive performance on Sunday, Jacoby Brissett will start against the 49ers, coach Ron Rivera is announcing.

Howell offered us a lot of fantasy points with his legs, but in terms of real-life football, his decision-making and processing were lacking, leading to an astronomical 60 sacks taken and 24 turnover-worthy passes that led to 17 interceptions. Brissett offers a Superflex QB2 option against a tough 49ers defense.

Potential good news for the Texans: QB C.J. Stroud, in the NFL's concussion protocol, is expected to practice today. Coach DeMeco Ryans told Stacey Dales on Sunday that Stroud had been in meetings on Friday. "He's definitely making progress." This would be more progress.

This would be fantastic news for Texans skill position players and would also put Stroud back on the map as a top-12 option. We'll keep an eye on his progress throughout the rest of the week.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s status for this week’s game against the Panthers remains up in the air on Tuesday.

Head coach Doug Pederson said that Lawrence has been diagnosed with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder after being injured in Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers. Pederson said that Lawrence is “doing better today than he did yesterday,” but that he doesn’t expect Lawrence to practice on Wednesday.

It’s the third straight week that Lawrence is dealing with an injury as he suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 14 and a concussion in Week 15, the story pointed out. So far, he's been fortunate enough to bounce back and play but we'll have to continue to monitor Lawrence heading into this week's game.
