Chargers QB Philip Rivers ACTIVE vs. Bills

The Buffalo Bills are signing former Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling a 1 year deal worth up to $4.5 million, including a $1.125 million signing bonus.

We can basically look at this as a Gabe Davis replacement, but not exactly an upgrade. MVS will stretch defenses but shouldn't be considered anything more than a late-round best ball dart throw.

The Detroit Lions are signing quarterback Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million contract extension that includes $170 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

The deal makes the 2016 No. 1 pick the highest-paid player in franchise history.

The Lions lock up veteran QB Goff, and this is good news for the continued growth of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, and the rest of the offense. The quarterback should be considered a strong QB2 option and will have streaming opportunities throughout 2024.

Free agent WR Zay Jones is signing with the Cardinals. Another veteran option for Arizona, as Jones — who also visited the Titans, Chiefs, and Cowboys — lands.

This is a nice, solid signing by the Cardinals, who are giving QB Kyler Murray a lot to work with in 2024. Jones missed a lot of time last year with multiple injuries but managed to hit eight or more targets in each of his final three games with the Jaguars. He makes for an interesting late-round dart throw this season.
