Correlating Week 17 matchups has proven fruitful for winning best ball championships in recent years, particularly Underdog’s Best Ball Mania. Two years ago, Pat Kerrane took down the BBM3 and its $2M prize with a heavily correlated roster consisting of 12-of-18 players from just three Week 17 contests. Last year’s winner took home $3M with multiple stacks from two of the Week 17 games.

With the 2024 NFL Draft officially in our rearview mirror, we have entered the dead zone between those seven rounds of selections and OTAs. You know what that means; it’s time to prognosticate the impact of rookie landing spots and, more importantly, draft as many best ball teams as we can handle. Before we do that, though, let’s take a look at how rookies typically perform in these best-ball formats and how we can apply that to this season’s group of first-year fantasy pieces.

Strength of schedule is a draft tool that can help when making decisions between several players at the same ADP, regardless of fantasy football format. There are several ways to calculate an NFL team’s SOS; the first is by using the combined records of a team’s opponents from the previous season.

This method does have its share of flaws, due to free agency, injuries, trades, and the NFL Draft. Using last year’s winning percentage method, here’s how all 32 teams pan out in terms of strength of schedule.
