JAX TE Tyler Eifert - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Tennessee Titans
In his first game with the Jaguars, Tyler Eifert saw just one look, resulting in an eight-yard reception. Gardner Minshew did a nice job of distributing the ball around, with the Jacksonville TEs combining to receive only two targets. For now there is little reason for Eifert to be wasting a spot on your fantasy roster.

Week 1 – Tyler Eifert vs. Indianapolis Colts
After spending his first seven pro seasons in Cincinnati, Tyler Eifert makes his Jaguars debut on Sunday. Last year was the first in his career in which he didn’t miss a game, snagging 43 passes and three TDs along the way. Eifert’s best season came in ’15 when he registered 13 of his 24 NFL scores. At 6’6” he’s still a great weapon near the goal line, but there are better TEs for you to start for the opener.

CIN TE Tyler Eifert - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs Cleveland
Tyler Eifert did remain healthy for much of the season, but the overall production wasn't nearly what some expected. He has 41 receptions for 402 yards which is the most since 2015. He also added three touchdowns.

Eifert faces Cleveland who is 31st in aFPA to tight ends. He had four catches for 49 yards in the first meeting between the two teams and he should be in the same area statistically. That ranks him as a TE2 for Week 17. Keep Eifert on the bench.

CIN TE Tyler Eifert - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Miami
We know what to expect every week from Tyler Eifert. He has been consistently around the three or four catch mark each week and has not been a red zone threat.

The matchup against Miami isn't great as the Dolphins are 11th in aFPA to tight ends. And there are much better matchups for the Bengals this week. Keep Eifert on the bench as a low-end TE2 for Week 16.

CIN TE Tyler Eifert - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs New York Jets
Tyler Eifert continues to mirror the Bengals offense. Not very effective. He is averaging about two receptions per game over the past month and really hasn't been prominent in the passing game.

The Jets are ranked 12th in aFPA to tight ends. Even with a neutral matchup, Eifert should stay on your bench for Week 13.

Week 12 vs Pittsburgh
Tyler Eifert had three receptions for 21 yards last week, but the targets have dropped with rookie quarterback Ryan Finley in the lineup. Eifert had two catches in the first meeting with the Steelers and we don't expect much more even though Pittsburgh is ranked 28th in aFPA to tight ends.

Eifert only rates a low-end TE2 for Week 12 so keep him on the bench.

Week 11 at Oakland
Tyler Eifert had only two catches in rookie QB Ryan Finley's debut but one was a touchdown reception, his second of the year. Many thought a healthy Eifert would mean a good fantasy tight end but that just hasn't happened.

Even with a great matchup against Oakland who is 30th in aFPA to tight ends, the Bengals offense will continue to struggle which devalues all the skill players including Eifert. Keep him on the bench as a low-end TE2.
