Scouting report

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Rashard Higgins caught a touchdown last week, but that was his only catch and only target of the game. He has no fantasy relevancy moving forward.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at New York Jets

Rashard Higgins saw three targets, catching two passes for 46 yards in Week 1. His highlight came on a 35-yard reception. With so many other options in Cleveland's offense (Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, David Njoku), it's hard to trust Higgins. Baker Mayfield threw the ball 38 times in Week 1, and only looked Higgins' way three times. There are better options available.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Tennessee Titans

Rashard Higgins had a limited role last season, finishing with 39 receptions for 572 yards and four touchdowns. He'll likely see some extended game action during the first four games of the season while Antonio Callaway is sidelined due to a suspension. But with Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry and David Njoku all in the mix, it's hard to see Higgins having much fantasy relevance.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Rashard Higgins had a breakout game in Week 2, but a lot of his yards came when Kevin Hogan was the quarterback. With DeShone Kizer at QB all game in Week 3, Higgins didn't perform as well, catching just 2-of-6 passes for a measly 10 yards.

Higgins appears to be the No. 2 receiver in Cleveland, but it hasn't really resulted in a lot of success. We expect him to do better than last week, but he's not really a strong option in fantasy this week. It's best to avoid him.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Indianapolis Colts

Rashard Higgins emerged as a receiving threat last week when Kevin Hogan filled in at quarterback. He saw 11 targets, catching 7 passes for 95 yards. With Kenny Britt struggling and Corey Coleman out with a broken hand, we expect Higgins to continue to be a factor moving forward.

We didn't expect much from Higgins at the start of the season, but now he can be projected as the Browns' top receiving threat. If he's the real deal, he should be able to prove it this week in a favorable matchup against the Colts. Indy has allowed 300+ passing yards in the first two games, which leaves opportunity for Higgins to do damage.

He should be viewed as a WR3 option this week.
