Scouting report

PIT WR Lance Moore - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Lance Moore Week 7 vs. Texans
Look for Lance Moore to get increased playing time as the Steelers' No. 3 receiver, which could give him a bump in numbers this week. Even so, he's still not fantasy relevant.

PIT WR Lance Moore - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Lance Moore Week 5 vs. Jaguars
Lance Moore finally got on the board last week with one reception for 12 yards. Look for him to start getting more work moving forward, especially if Markus Wheaton can't go this week. He should start becoming more of a factor moving forward, but not yet this week.

PIT WR Lance Moore - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Lance Moore Week 4 vs. Bucs
Lance Moore got onto the field for just one snap in his Steelers' debut last week. Until he passes Justin Brown on the depth chart, he has no value.

PIT WR Lance Moore - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Lance Moore Week 3 vs. Panthers
After missing the first two games of the season with a groin injury, Lance Moore will be back this week for the Steelers, just in time to face a Carolina team he's had some success again in his career. In 12 career games, Moore has hauled in 44 passes for 631 yards and four touchdowns. Moore won't be worth a start, but he could cut into Markus Wheaton's production.

PIT WR Lance Moore - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Lance Moore Week 1 vs Browns
Lance Moore is dealing with a groin injury that kept him out of the final two preseason games. Keep an eye on the injury report, but with a game against Baltimore just four days after they play the Browns, the Steelers might err on the side of caution and hold him out this week.

PIT WR Lance Moore - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Lance Moore takes over as the Steelers’ slot receiver from Jerricho Cotchery. That meant 46 receptions for 602 yards and 10 scores in 2013.

Fantasy Downside
Moore doesn’t have the size of Cotchery, so he’s unlikely to get to 10 touchdowns. Antonio Brown is also the clear-cut No. 1 target in the Pittsburgh offense and there are plenty of other options.

Bottom Line
Moore is going undrafted in many leagues, but he could wind up challenging Markus Wheaton and/or Heath Miller for receptions in Pittsburgh behind Antonio Brown. Just two seasons ago he had 65 catches for 1,041 yards and six scores in New Orleans. He could be a nice guy to stash away as a No. 5 receiver.
