Scouting report

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Houston
Wright had a 4-catch, 46-yard effort last week saved by catching his third TD of the season last week. He's been pretty good in three career starts against Houston, catching 16 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns. Given Houston's defensive issues both against the run and the pass, Wright should be a decent start as a No. 3 receiver this week regardless of Tennessee's QB situation.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Atlanta
Wright has just seven catches for 63 yards in the past two weeks and he and Zach Mettenberger didn't really click all the time last season. Wright has been more miss than hit this season, so if you have to use him, do so as a flex play -- even in a game in which the Titans figure to have to go to the air against an Atlanta defense that has allowed just two WR scores this season.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Miami
After catching just three passes for 29 yards last week, Wright has now alternated bad and good performances each week. Does that mean he's due for a good one? Well, the Dolphins are 20th in the NFL in WR fantasy points allowed. But the Tennessee passing game is just so erratic that it's tough to play Wright as anything more than a low-end No. 3 receiver or flex play.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Buffalo
Wright has scored in two of his first three games and had two great weeks sandwiched around an awful one. But coming off the bye, he gets a Buffalo pass defense that ranks 30th in the league against opposing wideouts and has given up nine WR TDs and at least 13 receptions to WRs in each of the first four weeks. Wright should be a solid No. 2 start this week.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Indianapolis
Disappointment would be one way to describe Wright's Week 2 performance. Pitiful would be another. Two catches for 17 yards? Really? And he now has just eight targets on the season - despite his 100-yard performance in Week 1. The Jets receivers had their way with a banged-up Indianapolis secondary last week, so there's some hope. But keep Wright in the flex category for now until we see a little more consistency.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Cleveland
Wright had a strong start last week, hauling in four passes for 101 yards and a score. The Titans shut their passing game down early because they got out to a big lead early, so Wright could have done more damage. The Browns allowed 154 yards and two touchdowns on 12 WR catches last week against the Jets, so there will be opportunities again this week. Wright should be solid as a low-end No. 2 receiver or high-end No. 3.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 1, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Minnesota
After a tough 2014 season, Wright should have a bounceback campaign this year. He and rookie QB Marcus Mariota seemed to be on the same page a lot in the preseason and training camp. They connected six times for 84 yards in the preseason, and Wright should find some room to work underneath against the Bucs this week. He should be a solid Week 1 flex play with some upside potential.
