Travis Etienne likely out for season

Jaguars rookie RB Travis Etienne is likely out for the season with a Lisfranc injury, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Fantasy Impact: 

With Etienne likely out for the year, the Jacksonville backfield should be evaluated with Robinson as the lead back and Carlos Hyde as a solid No. 2 with a significant backup role. Robinson was a bellcow back last season, which led to a top 10 finish, but he is unlikely to see 20+ touches per game with Hyde around. Still, Robinson should see 16-19 touches per game in a lead back role and that should include 3-4 catches per game, since he'll have to take over part of Etienne's role as a pass-catcher. He should be added to a solid group of fantasy RB2s that are going in the 3rd-4th rounds.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne, spotted on crutches after the game, suffered a Lisfranc injury.

Fantasy Impact: 

Etienne will have further tests today, source said to Rapoport. Rapoport went on to say X-Rays were negative so the belief is it’s just a sprain but the exams Tuesday will determine how long he’s out. Robinson should at least get a huge short-term boost here and it's worth monitoring to see of Etienne's injury is the type that's going to keep him out several weeks.

Jaguars Head Coach Doug Marrone announced that running back James Robinson will sit out Week 17 with his ankle injury.

Fantasy Impact: 

Robinson had a spectacular rookie season. Signed to the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent, Robinson racked up over 1,400 total yards and ten touchdowns in 14 games. Robinson's emergence was one of the great surprises of the fantasy season, and his arrow is pointing up for 2021 with Trevor Lawrence expected to take over under center in Jacksonville next season.
