Scouting report

CAR K Graham Gano - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – Graham Gano vs. Atlanta
Graham Gano made all three extra points last week against the Eagles, but didn’t get the opportunity to kick any field goals and the Panthers suffered another crushing loss. The Panthers have been terrible on offense this season, and even with a fantastic matchup against the Falcons this week, it’s hard to trust that Gano will get enough opportunities to put up viable fantasy numbers. Leave him on waivers.

CAR K Graham Gano - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Graham Gano vs. Philadelphia
Graham Gano made his only field goal attempt last week in a losing effort against the Saints, finishing with a 31 yard field goal and one extra point. Gano hasn’t gotten a whole lot of opportunities this season, as he’s been hampered by a struggling Carolina offense. There’s no reason to expect that to change in any given week, so fantasy owners should continue to stay away from Gano and look to a more consistent offense for their fantasy kickers.

CAR K Graham Gano - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Graham Gano vs. New Orleans
Graham Gano was a perfect three for three against the Seahawks last week, putting in a nice fantasy day for owners. However, with the way the Panthers offense has performed this year, Gano is way too inconsistent to be trusted in a fantasy line up week to week. He faces a Saints team that ranks 26th in the league in points allowed this year, but he still isn’t a guy that we can recommend adding to your fantasy roster at this time.

CAR K Graham Gano - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – Graham Gano vs. Seattle
Graham Gano made his only field goal attempts last week, a 33 yard chip shot, as the Panthers got thumped by the Packers. Gano isn’t a bad kicker, but the Panther offense hasn’t given him much of a chance to succeed this season. It’s hard to envision things getting better this week, even against a struggling Seattle team, making Gano a guy that should remain on fantasy waivers for the time being.

CAR K Graham Gano - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – Graham Gano vs. Green Bay

Graham Gano missed a long field goal last week against the Bengals, but he made his other three attempts and the Panthers offense looked as good as it has looked this season, making it possible that Gano’s fantasy value will improve.

Still, it’s hard to trust the Panther offense at this time, and Gano hasn’t put up consistent enough numbers to trust him. Carolina is going to need touchdowns, not field goals against Green Bay this weekend, and we have Gano ranked in the bottom ten. You probably don’t have him on your roster, and there’s no reason to pick him up now.

CAR K Graham Gano - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 – Graham Gano vs. Cincinnati
Graham Gano made his only attempt last week, but he remains hampered by a struggling Panther offense. This week, things won’t get any easier for Gano against a Bengals defense that ranks sixth in the league in points allowed and should make it hard for the Panthers to put points on the board. Gano is too risky to add to your roster for the time being, and will remain a risky option until the Panthers offense shows consistent signs of life.

CAR K Graham Gano - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 – Graham Gano vs. Chicago

Graham Gano has had nine field goal attempts this year, and made eight of them, putting him in the top ten of kickers this season. Last week however, he and the entire Panthers offense struggled incredibly, and he wound up with only one attempt, a 37 yard field goal that he nailed.

Gano will face the Bears team that got destroyed by the Packers offense last week, and the Panthers will hope they can put it together after two awful weeks on offense. Gano is going to be a risky play until Carolina can get it back together, so fantasy owners should be wary of him as a consistent option. The matchup this week makes him an above average option, but be wary.
