Fantasy Upside
DeShone Kizer was selected in the second round by the Browns this year and has a chance to earn the starting job. He's made an impression throughout training camp, and had an impressive first preseason game, completing 11-of-18 passes for 184 yards and 1 touchdown. He has a good arm and is able to make big plays down the field.
Fantasy Downside
He's a rookie, and he's on the Browns, a team that isn't exactly known for producing good quarterbacks. He also doesn't have a great receiving corps around him, and if the Browns can help it, they'd prefer to run the ball.
2017 Bottom Line
The simple fact Kizer isn't guaranteed the starting job means he's not worth taking in redraft leagues. He looks good so far, but camp and late-quarter minutes in preseason is different from actual game action. Even if he does get the starting job, he'd be ranked among the lower options of fantasy quarterbacks.
