Aaron Rodgers said he understands that a conversation will almost certainly be had about his status for the remainder of the season.
That's in large part because of Jordan Love, the third-year backup quarterback who hasn't played much meaningful football in his career. He showed some promise in relief of Rodgers after he left Sunday's game against the Eagles because of the rib injury.
Rodgers said he'd love to finish out the season but understands, "this is a business and there's a lot of us kind of older guys who play a decent amount and they might want to see some younger guys play." He said if the conversation comes up he'd, "approach that with an open mind and without any bitterness or resentment." The Packers are 4-8 and hope is fading fast for a playoff berth.
While Carter‘s ankle injury may lead to a change this week, Robinson’s bid to return to the lineup probably won’t be helped by the performance of Knight. Knight ran 14 times for 69 yards and caught three passes for 34 yards against Chicago, the story said. Robinson seems to be falling down the depth chart.
Lamar Jackson did not finish practice Wednesday, leaving with a quadriceps injury.
The Ravens list him as a limited participant. Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN, a team spokesman said Jackson left to get treatment and would not speak to reporters Wednesday, which is the quarterback’s weekly interview day. Jackson has not talked to reporters since his vulgar response to a social media critic, which he later deleted, the story said.
