The Washington Football Team is expected to place TE Logan Thomas (knee) on IR. The extent of his injury is still unknown.

There isn’t a quarterback projected to be worthy of a pick like the Texans will have in the first round if they don't trade down, so there’s a chance Davis Mills will be competing to start in 2022. If he is given the chance to start again this season, it seems unlikely things turn around given the personnel surrounding him.

The Texans are projected to have a top-five pick in the 2022 draft. Taylor wasn't good against the Colts before getting hurt in Week 13 with a wrist injury. The Texans would be better off giving Mills starts to finish the season to see if he has any chance to be the future at the position.

Ron Rivera said they received better than expected news on TE Logan Thomas. Said the tests this morning DID NOT confirm their worst fear, which was a torn ACL.

While the status of Thomas is terms of being a fantasy starter the rest of the year is up in the air, it's potentially great news for Washington and what they hope is a playoff run as they currently sit in the final wild card spot. Thomas will have further evaluation to confirm the true extent of the injury and perhaps a timeline. Seals-Jones was dealing with his own injury leaving Bates as the top TE in Week 11 before Thomas returned in Weeks 12 and 13.

Texans QB Tyrod Taylor is considered week-to-week with his wrist injury, sources say, and Davis Mills is expected to start.

Mills will get another chance to show what he can do for the Texans, who don't seem to have any kind of future plan for the QB position. Taylor isn't the long-term answer and Deshaun Watson wants to be traded. The last time we saw Mills was against the Rams, when he threw for over 300 yards and 2 TDs in a loss, but then lost his job to Taylor.

On Monday, head coach David Culley said Tyrod Taylor will undergo an MRI on his left wrist. The quarterback was having trouble fielding snaps after hyperextending the wrist.

Taylor was cleared to return to the game but was replaced by Mills in the third quarter. Culley said the team will continue to evaluate who will start against the Seahawks in Week 14. That decision will be made later in the week.

Now, as the Giants head out west to train and practice all week on the campus of the University of Arizona, Jake Fromm is in line to start at quarterback for the Giants in next Sunday's game against the Chargers in Los Angeles.

Jones is not yet cleared for contact due to a strained neck and Glennon started Sunday, but he is in concussion protocol after being diagnosed following the game. The story added a week ago Fromm was not on the Giants, or even the active roster of the Buffalo Bills, given he was fourth on their depth chart and on the practice squad. The story will give you a nice background on Fromm if you're interested. His last game that counted: the Jan. 1, 2020 Sugar Bowl in which he led Georgia to victory over Baylor.

Some who have watched Saquon Barkley suggest that he hasn’t returned to the form he showed before last year’s torn ACL, but Barkley rejected that notion after Sunday’s loss.

“It’s week whatever in the NFL, no one is 100 percent physically. That’s their opinion, but I know I am,” Barkley said, via WFAN.com.

The story opined the Giants were terrible before Barkley tore his ACL and they remain terrible through 12 games of this season even after Barkley's return. The story went on to say the Giants were playing without quarterback Daniel Jones and a pair of wide receivers, which would seem to set the stage for Barkley to put the offense on his shoulders, but he managed 55 rushing yards on 11 carries and 19 receiving yards on six catches and dropped a pair of passes.

Already ruled out for Sunday's contest against Miami, Jones will avoid the IR designation despite most likely being out a couple of weeks. Mike Glennon will start in his place with Jake Fromm taking over backup responsibilities.

The way Miami's defense has played over the last four weeks makes them a plus play in fantasy. With 16 sacks and ten takeaways over the last four games they face a decimated Giants' offense.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (quad) and Kadarius Toney (quad/oblique) are doubtful for Week 13, while WR John Ross (illness/quad) and TE Kyle Rudolph (ankle) are questionable against the Miami Dolphins.

At this point all one can feel is pity for the Giants offense. Kenny Golladay, Evan Engram, and Saquon Barkley are going to be busy.
