NE TE Martellus Bennett - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Miami Dolphins

Patriots targets over their past two games with Chris Hogan out (which appears will be the case again this week): Brandin Cook-20, Danny Amendola-13, Rob Gronkowski-10, Rex Burkhead-9, Martellus Bennett-6. Bennett is not getting enough usage to be fantasy viable.

NE TE Martellus Bennett - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Oakland Raiders (game in Mexico City)

Atrapa la fiebre de la fantasía. That translates to "Catch the fantasy fever", as the Patriots and Raiders square off in Mexico. Martellus Bennett saw 3 targets in his Patriots debut, but that's not enough to warrant streaming TE consideration in Week 11.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Detroit Lions

Martellus Bennett's line of 2 receptions for 17 yards looked just like every other Packers' pass-catchers' stat line in Week 7 versus the Lions as the entire offense struggled. The Lions have been good against opposing tight ends this season, allowing 3 or fewer catches to the position five times. Bennett will catch a few passes, but don't get carried away with your expectations. He shouldn't be in your lineup unless your starter is on a bye.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New Orleans Saints

Martellus Bennett had just 2 catches for 22 yards last week with Brett Hundley at quarterback for most of the game. Many times a young quarterback will zero in on their tight end, liking to throw to the bigger target in short areas. But on a team with big receivers in Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams, there is no guarantee that happens here. Bennett is a TE2 this week.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Minnesota Vikings

Martellus Bennett had 3 receptions for 53 yards last week, which isn't bad output considering that is his season high for yards. But he's still looking for his first score as a member of the Packers. Minnesota could solve that. The Vikings have been stingy, allowing just 6 passing TDs this season, but three of those have gone to tight ends. Bennett could be a sneaky start this week.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Dallas Cowboys

Bennett caught 6 passes for 39 yards last week against Chicago as the Packers didn't throw the ball a lot. But Bennett continues to see volume and leads the Packers with 27 targets thus far this season. He and Aaron Rodgers have not always been on the same page, however, as the two have hooked up on just 17 of those targets and he's averaging less than 10 yards per catch. Bennett is more valuable in PPR leagues.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Chicago Bears

Martellus Bennett had just 3 catches for 12 yards last week against Cincinnati, but he continues to be targeted by Aaron Rodgers—19 total targets in three games. That average of 6.3 targets per game makes him a low-end TE1 play. Last season when Rodgers had a capable tight end to throw to against the Bears, he targeted Jared Cook 8 times, hooking up 6 times for 85 yards.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Martellus Bennett caught 5 passes for 47 yards last week, which doesn't look all that bad until you consider it came on 11 targets. On the positive side, 11 targets is huge. He and Aaron Rodgers will get on the same page eventually. If Jordy Nelson and/or Randall Cobb don't play this week, Bennett could again get a solid number of targets. He's a nice sleeper tight end this week, especially with some of the top-end guys hobbled.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Atlanta Falcons

Martellus Bennett got off to a decent start last week against Seattle, catching 3 passes on 6 targets for 43 yards. Atlanta wasn't great against tight ends last season and allowed 6 receptions for 70 yards to Chicago last week. Bennett should be a decent start this week as a TE1 in both yardage and PPR leagues in a game that could turn into a shootout.

GB TE Martellus Bennett - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Martellus Bennett played sparingly in the preseason, totaling just three catches. But one was for a short touchdown. Seattle's defense allowed just three touchdowns to tight ends all of last season. Bennett did face the Seahawks last season and caught 7 passes for 102 yards while with the Patriots, so there's some hope here. Use Bennett as a low-end No. 1 tight end and hope for a repeat of last season.
