BAL RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Miami Dolphins

Le’Veon Bell had 11 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown last week against the Vikings as the Ravens took a committee approach to their backfield. Bell has potential this week against a Dolphins defense that ranks 20th in aFPA to opposing running backs, and the game script should favor the Ravens’ rushing attack. Still, he’s part of a committee, so it’s hard to trust him in most leagues. He should be considered a low-end RB3 desperation option. In most leagues, sit him.

BAL RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Le’Veon Bell had eight carries for 18 yards and a touchdown last week against the Chargers. With Latavius Murray likely out, he stands to get some additional work again this week against the Bengals, but he’s not worth starting. He’ll vie for touches with Devonta Freeman and perhaps Ty’Son Williams, and the Bengals quietly rank 12th in aFPA to opposing running backs. He’s worth a speculative addition to very deep rosters, but should mostly be ignored.

BAL RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Las Vegas Raiders

Le'Veon Bell may end up being fantasy relevant with Gus Edwards likely out for the season, but keep him on the shelf this week. It's a nice matchup on paper, but we don't know how the workload is going to shake out yet, so I recommend rostering him for now and taking a wait-and-see approach to the Ravens' backfield. If Bell can secure passing down work and get a few carries a game, he definitely has some long-term upside, but expecting an immediate impact after being added just this past week is a lot to ask.

KC RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Le'Veon Bell is dealing with a knee injury that's sidelined him from practice Wednesday and Thursday. Since the Chiefs are benching Patrick Mahomes, it seems likely they'd rest Bell as well so they don't risk further injury. Even if Bell is active, it'd be surprising if he saw many touches. It's probably best to avoid Bell in Week 17.

KC RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Clyde Edwards-Helaire will miss this week, which means Le'Veon Bell becomes relevant in fantasy once again. It is worth noting that CEH was essentially inactive in Week 13, and Bell only saw 13 touches for 55 yards while playing on 52% of the offensive plays. So while he becomes a relevant play, it's not like he jumps into RB1 territory. Especially when you consider the Falcons have allowed the second-fewest rushing yards, and the second-fewest rushing touchdowns to running backs this season. With the tough matchup (No. 1 aFPA), and Kansas City's use of Bell so far, he should be viewed more in the low-end RB2 range for Week 16. He's a solid play, but don't expect huge numbers.

KC RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New Orleans Saints

Le'Veon Bell had just four touches for 35 yards last week. More notable, however, is the fact Bell played on just 18% of the offensive snaps, his lowest amount since joining the Chiefs. At this point, Bell isn't much more than a bench stash in case Clyde Edwards-Helaire gets injured.

KC RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Miami Dolphins

Le'Veon Bell saw an increased workload last week with Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the bench, but it didn't result in much production. Bell had 13 touches for 55 scrimmage yards and no touchdowns. He actually split playing time with Darrel Williams, seeing 33 snaps compared to Williams' 31. If Bell can't be productive with CEH out of the lineup, then he certainly isn't a great option when CEH returns this week. Bell shouldn't even be viewed as a viable flex option this week against the Dolphins.

KC RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Denver Broncos

Le'Veon Bell had 32 scrimmage yards last week, which is about par for the course for Bell with the Chiefs. Since arriving in Kansas City, Bell is averaging 29.6 yards while scoring once in five games. Bell isn't very involved, averaging 5.6 carries and 1.4 receptions for the Chiefs. If you want someone to get around 30-40 yards with a small chance of a touchdown, then Bell is your guy.

KC RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Le'Veon Bell finished with eight touches last week (7 carries, 1 reception) for 36 yards and his first touchdown as a Chief. Bell is averaging just under 30 yards since joining the Chiefs and doesn't have a major role in the offense. In three of his four games with the Chiefs, he's seen one target or fewer. That means his value comes more as a runner, and this week he's facing a Bucs defense that has allowed the fewest total rushing yards to running backs. Bell is not a viable option in Week 12.

KC RB Le'Veon Bell - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Las Vegas Raiders

Le'Veon Bell has simultaneously hurt Clyde Edwards-Helaire's stock while not doing much himself. Bell has seen a total of 20 touches in three games with the Chiefs for a total of 80 yards. Divide those 80 yards by three games and you get 26.6 yards per game. Not great. Bell has also played fewer than 20 snaps in each game he's played, limiting his opportunities for production in the first place. He gets a favorable matchup against the Raiders in Week 11, but it won't mean much if he doesn't get touches. He's not much more than a desperation flex play.
