MIA WR Leonte Carroo - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills rank first in aFPA to WRs. That should mean more work for Miami backs this week against a Buffalo defense that ranks just 21st in aFPA to RBs. That's not good news for Miami receivers, who have struggled all season to put up fantasy production on a consistent basis. Over the past three games, five Dolphins receivers have a total of two double-digit PPR games. None of the Miami wideouts can be trusted.

MIA WR Leonte Carroo - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
So who is Leonte Carroo? He was a third round pick by the Dolphins this past draft out of Rutgers. At 6’ 211 pounds, he was consistently productive at Rutgers with back-to-back double-digit touchdown seasons with two different quarterbacks. He also proved his worth as a run blocker, which could help him get snaps if Adam Gase is as balanced as he was in Chicago last season. Going into camp, he is behind Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, and Kenny Stills on the depth chart.

Fantasy Downside
It’s unlikely Carroo passes a receiver coming off 110 receptions and another that was a 1st round pick last season on the depth chart in training camp. Also, given Carroo’s less than head-turning 4.5 40-time, it is probably going to be difficult to pass Kenny Stills as a deep threat on this team. Adam Gase also said he “definitely” wants to get Kenny Stills more involved too. That doesn’t leave much opportunity for Carroo in his rookie season.

Bottom Line
Carroo is not among our top-100 receivers entering 2016. Therefore, he should not be on your draft radar.
