BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Cleveland Browns

Jeremy Maclin was targeted 11 times against the Steelers last week, but he only caught 3 passes for 27 yards. Maclin hasn’t put up more than 41 yards in over a month, and he hasn’t scored since before Halloween. This week, he’ll face a Browns team that has been very average against the wide receiver position this season. Regardless of the matchup, Maclin hasn’t been consistently productive enough to warrant a roster spot.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Jeremy Maclin has had an up-and-down season, but he hasn’t been great over the past few weeks. He had only 41 yards against the Lions last week, after only 1 catch and 6 yards the week before against Houston. Maclin has a tough matchup against the Steelers, making it hard to believe he’ll turn in a big performance. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Detroit Lions

Jeremy Maclin had only 1 catch for 6 yards last week against the Texans. He was targeted 5 times, however, and he’s been targeted at least four times in every game he’s played in this year.

This week, Maclin should continue to be used outside and has a chance to rebound against a very average Lions defense. Detroit has a sufficiently prolific offense to keep the Ravens from leaning on their ground game, which could mean additional targets for the receiving corps. That being said, it’s hard to trust the Baltimore passing game, and Mike Wallace has been the more productive receiver for them the past three weeks. Maclin has some low-end WR2 upside, but should likely be left on the bench this week.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Houston Texans

Jeremy Maclin had only 4 catches for 34 yards in a good matchup against the Packers last week, but it was good to see him active after nursing a shoulder injury during the week. Maclin has only scored 1 touchdown since Week 2, but he’s caught 12 balls over his past two games and remains a starter on the outside for the Ravens.

This week, Maclin will face a Texans defense that has struggled with injuries all season and just allowed 3 touchdown passes to Blaine Gabbert. While Maclin is risky, as is any Ravens player, he has some WR3 upside this week in what should be a very good matchup.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Green Bay Packers

Jeremy Maclin has been nicked up throughout the season, but when he’s been active and healthy, he’s been productive. He caught 8 passes for 98 yards against the Titans before the bye last week, and he leads the Ravens in receiving yards, despite missing two games and leaving several others early.

This week, Maclin was limited in practice, so check his status before Sunday’s game, against the Packers. If he starts, he has upside against a Green Bay pass defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this year. He’s a WR2 option as long as he plays.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Tennessee Titans

Jeremy Maclin had a touchdown last week against the Dolphins to go with 3 receptions and 53 yards. He’s been hard to trust this year, however, as he’s been in and out of the lineup with nagging injuries and the Baltimore passing game has been horrible.

This week, Maclin faces a Titans defense that has allowed 9 touchdowns to the WR position this year, so he has some upside. However, unless you’re in a deep league and looking for a fringe WR3 option, it’s probably too risky to trust him.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Miami Dolphins

Jeremy Maclin has struggled to be healthy all season and he ended up inactive last week against the Vikings, despite indications late in the week that he might be ready to play. Even if he plays Thursday night against the Dolphins, it’s hard to imagine him putting up good numbers. The Dolphins allowed 3 touchdown passes to the Jets last week, but have allowed only 9 all year, and the Ravens are 23rd in the league in scoring. Sit him.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Chicago Bears

Jeremy Maclin had only 43 yards last week against the Raiders, but he did catch 6 passes and led the team with 8 targets. Maclin has been a steady option for QB Joe Flacco in his first year with the team, but he’s been hobbled on and off by nagging injuries that force him to miss large chunks of the game. While he had a touchdown in each of his first two games, he hasn’t done much since and fantasy owners should look elsewhere if they’re looking for reliable production. Maclin is a low-end WR3 option, at best, this week against a surprisingly average Bears defense.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Oakland Raiders

Jeremy Maclin had a touchdown in each of his first two games this season, but he’s yet to eclipse 56 yards so far, and he has only 4 catches and 29 yards over his past two games combined. Maclin has upside as he’s averaging 5 targets per game, but the Ravens offense is terrible right now. It’s hard to trust Maclin as anything more than a low-end WR3 option in large leagues, regardless of the matchup.

BAL WR Jeremy Maclin - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Jeremy Maclin only had 8 yards against the Jaguars in a game he was banged up in. Maclin still looks like the best option in the Baltimore passing attack, but right now, it’s hard to trust the Ravens to provide enough fantasy points for any of their receivers.

Maclin faces a tough Pittsburgh pass defense this week. They have allowed the second-fewest passing yards so far this year, although their numbers may be a bit influenced by the poor competition they’ve faced through three weeks. Either way, Maclin isn’t trustworthy enough to have in your lineup this week until we know he’s healthy and the team is more effective.
