Week 10 at Green Bay Packers
Despite rookie Jake Luton tossing for over 300 yards versus Houston last week, James O’Shaughnessy turned his two targets into just a nine-yard grab. He has not found the end zone this season and doesn’t make for a good option on the road Sunday.
Week 9 vs. Houston Texans
While James O'Shaughnessy caught three passes for 32 yards two weeks ago against the Chargers, he still has only 15 receptions for 147 yards and no scores this season. At Houston last month he was limited to 20 yards on three grabs so there has to be a better option for you to start at TE.
Week 5 at Carolina Panthers
Although he caught only one pass last week at Denver, James O’Shaughnessy made it count, recording an 18-yard TD on a well-designed play that saw Gardner Minshew fake screen passes to both sides of the field before hitting his open TE down the middle. Despite snagging just three passes the past couple of games, O’Shaughnessy has been in the end zone twice. He remains a risky TE start, especially versus the top pass defense in the Panthers.
Week 4 at Denver Broncos
After the Jaguars recovered a fumbled punt return last Thursday versus Tennessee, Gardner Minshew immediately tossed a play-action TD to James O’Shaughnessy, his first score of the season. The big TE finished with just two grabs for 18 yards in the win and has totaled only 78 yards in three games. Despite the score last game O’Shaughnessy is a TE2 start at Denver.
Week 3 vs. Tennessee Titans
In the loss at Houston last Sunday, James O'Shaughnessy finished with four grabs for 28 yards. He's caught four passes in each of the first two weeks but for only 60 yards and no scores. Neither O'Shaughnessy nor fellow TE Geoff Swaim is posting enough yards to warrant a fantasy roster spot.
Week 16 at Miami Dolphins
The Jaguars pass attack accounted for 20 total yards last week after sacks. James O’Shaughnessy saw only one look and caught a seven-yard pass. There is no reason for him to be on a fantasy roster.
Week 15 vs. Washington Redskins
Even though Cody Kessler threw 43 passes in the loss at Tennessee last Thursday, James O’Shaughnessy finished with just 12 yards on three catches. In the past four games, O’Shaughnessy has totaled only six grabs for 35 yards. Continue to look elsewhere for your starting TE.
Week 14 at Tennessee Titans
James O’Shaughnessy was targeted two times last Sunday by Cody Kessler. In the win versus the Colts, he caught both of his looks for 19 yards. With Leonard Fournette back from suspension, expect a heavy dose of the Jaguars ground game, especially with Kessler still at QB. There has to be better options for you to start at TE over O’Shaughnessy.
Week 13 vs. Indianapolis Colts
James O’Shaughnessy saw only two targets last week in the loss to the Bills. He has just one reception the past two games but snagged five passes for 46 yards at Indy in Week 10. With the bye weeks over, there has to be a better option for your TE than O’Shaughnessy.
Week 12 at Buffalo Bills
The Jaguars run game was able to move the ball versus the Steelers last week, but Blake Bortles managed just 104 yards through the air. James O’Shaughnessy caught just a four-yard pass. He has only 15 receptions without a TD this season and there is no reason to start him against a stout Bills defense.
