Have Rudolph/Kittle. Looking to add a young, developmental TE on the cheap. Can buy either for a 3rd round pick in next years draft. Who has the better outlook long term? Or who do you prefer rather? Butt has a clear path to playing time this season bareing injury imo. Jonnu could be the starter as soon as next year.

I already traded my 2nd rd pick next year so I hate to trade away my 3rd also.... but I know a lot will happen between now and then. I can maneuver back into those rounds. Was sent a trade offer my keke coutee for his Jonnu Smith, but Im really high on Coutee. Thoughts on him?

In a nutshell would you trade a 3rd for Jonnu or Butt? Trade Coutee for Jonnu? Only rookie TE Im interested in thats still on the board is Ian Thomas. Good situation and great guy to learn from in Olsen.

Im a devy guy and Noah Fant coming out next year. Could see him going in the 1st to Dallas or Cincy.

I think Smith is the more talented guy from what I understand, but you're right in that Butt has the clearer path this season. I'm guessing this is some kind of dynasty league, so give you have Rudolph and Kittle in the fold, I might take the chance on Smith if you can afford to stash him. Butt could certainly give you a return much more quickly if he sees any kind of playing time this year. Kind of depends what's more important to you at this point - stashing a guy for the future or maybe turning that third into something better by the end of the year.

I like Coutee as well. I do think trading him for a TE is a bit risky unless you are really sure about what you're getting back so I don't think I'd go that direction as think Coutee could get you more back.

whoah, I read that wrong... I think definitely Thomas since you have Rudolph (for now) and Kittle (for now and later) already.

Personally, I think I'd rather have Thomas than give up a 3rd round pick for any of the guys you mentioned. I'm not opposed to Kittle for that value, but Rudolph's injury history suggests to me he's on the back end of his career. Smith... I think a lot can happen between now and then, while Coutee has more upside.

I like Thomas a lot as a developmental prospect, and if Olsen slips, he should get looks. Not much competition on the roster aside from him.

Butt is interesting... I might consider that, but I think I'd rather roll the dice with Thomas since you can get him free, especially if you don't need him this year.
