Hey guys,

I'm currently in a league with the format 1 qb 2rb 2 wr 1 te 1 k 1 def and a wr/rb/te flex. Would it be smart to go after a bunch of wrs in my draft, even though I can only start a maximum of 3 wrs?

So, I haven't really been on the zero-RB strategy the past couple of seasons. In one league last year, I took Zeke Elliott and LeVeon Bell with my first two picks, and I killed it. In another league, I took Todd Gurley and Allen Robinson... I probably don't need to tell you how I did in that league. haha

I think value is my strategy in those first couple of rounds. So (and this is just me) if I'm picking 3-7, I'm probably going to wind up taking a WR. That doesn't mean I'm against taking a RB, it just means I like Brown, OBJ, Julio, and Evans more than I like McCoy/Howard/Fournette/Ajayi. First two picks, I'm taking David Johnson and LeVeon Bell. And Zeke is TBD for me, anywhere between 3-7. I've yet to be in a position to take Zeke in any drafts so far, so I'm not sure where I'm going to be looking at him if I'm sitting at say, 4 or 5, and Brown, Johnson, and Bell are off the board.

If I'm sitting at the back of the draft, I'm probably looking at trying to get Howard/Nelson or some combo like that, but I may also go RB/RB if there are two top 10 guys on the board and the top five WRs are off the board.

So it really depends. Go after the guys you really like based on the value you see on the board I'd say, but I'm probably one of the least likely owners out there to advocate a zero-RB strategy, so take that for what it is. haha
