Hi Scouts,

I am struggling over who to take at the top of my keeper league draft with my first round pick. I currently own Evans, Watkins, and Ajayi as my keepers.

The starting lineup for the league is 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, K, DEF. League is .5 PPR.

The best players available at my draft spot (once keeper players are removed) include: McCoy, Nelson, Bryant, Gronk, Hilton, Brees, Murray and Baldwin.

The 4for4 rankings suggest that McCoy and Nelson are the top choices, however I am having difficulty taking them based on their age (RBs typically fall off around 29-30, while WRs fall off around 32-33). I don't foresee myself keeping who I select in the first round past this season - I am just looking for top-tier production this season. Nonetheless, it seems like a risky move taking an older player at the top of the draft.

What are your thoughts on this?

Since you already have a nice start to your team - and you play two QBs - I wouldn't have an issue taking Brees. I get he ranks up there as an older player, but from what I saw he seems to have a favorable schedule on top of always seeming putting up the fantasy numbers. Outside of that, McCoy and Nelson would be my next picks.
