I've recently been added to a 14-team 2-QB keeper league (2-keepers max). Given that I don't have any talent to trade, the only thing I have going for me is draft picks. That said, I can't help but feel like I'm giving up twice the value (both the draft pick and the pick I take whoever I trade for) in exchange for value the other team never would have got anyway.

The question is where do I draw the line before giving up too much value? I have one trade on the table where I would give my 10th round for his 16th round in exchange for whatever player he ends up not keeping (Brady - 1st round, Mariota - 3rd round or David Johnson - 1st round). I figure I'm giving him 6 rounds of value in exchange for a player he wasn't going to keep anyway... Am I on the right track?

Yeah, I don't like that unless you're getting David Johnson.

In general, I think I'd only look at a pick swap for a couple of players that will present good value. If you can get a guy who will be a starter on your team and will only cost you a 10th round pick or something, then I'm up to swap. There should be guys out there, and you may only need to swap a round or two on the back end, because it may be a guy not being kept anyway.

If you can get David Johnson or Antonio Brown, I'm open to looking harder, but I think in general, go for some low-cost, low-risk moves, or don't worry about it and just draft your picks.
