I like using tiers when drafting, but one thing I've struggled with in the past is how to determine the next tier. I found a very simple solution that works well for me and I thought I'd share it in case someone else might find it useful.

I go to the Full impact Auction cheat sheet, input my settings and get a list of the suggested bid amounts. From there, it's easy to define a tier in increments of $10. (Or $5 if the list gets too crowded.) For example, my settings show Aaron Rodgers at $24 and Tom Brady at $20. That's tier 1. Next, it has Brees and Luck at $16 and $14. That's tier 2. There are 8 QBs listed between $7-$2. Those are tier 3. Finally, all the remaining $1 QBs are tier 4. This works the same with each position. Because there are so many RBs and WRs, I'll use $5 increments at some points.

I think that's a great idea, thanks for sharing!

I use tiers in a similar way, but then also, sometimes it's a gut call when I'm getting into the nitty gritty. And sometimes a tier is just one guy, all alone (Gronk used to be that way for me).
