While doing research for this years draft I came to the realization that this year, more than in years past, I'm having a hard time sizing up backfields. I was hoping the fantasy gurus, or you guys, could help outline; what backfields to avoid, who is a three down back, who should be handcuffed, who has value where they're currently being drafted, who will lose there job by early/mid season etc...

I feel this year WR is much deeper than RB so getting the right backs is vital for a championship run.

I don't know for sure, but I'm going to assume we'll have, or have had, an article about this topic.

I agree with what you say about RBs, which is why I don't know that I'm a believer in the 0-RB strategy. I've been drafting good RBs since the late 90s, so it's a strategy I just haven't broke and can't really get myself to. I think - in general - once you get outside our top-10 backs, things get a little sketchy when it comes to three down backs, so I would aim to try and get one of our top-10 rated guys. After that you'll see Crowell, Miller, Ware, Gillislee, Monty, Abdullah, Lynch, etc. I think all those guys have some issues with other backs stealing some time or you maybe have trust issues with them - like I do.

Minny, Cincy, NO, Carolina and Denver seem like backs to avoid - at least right now until we get a better feel for how things are going to play out there. I see a lot of question marks in those backfields at least at this point. Not saying don't draft any of those guys, but the later you can get them the better obviously, esp. if you're drafting sooner than later.
