WAS WR Cam Sims - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Philadelphia Eagles

With Terry McLaurin out last week, Cam Sims led all Washington wide receivers in targets with nine. However, he finished below RB J.D. McKissic and TE Logan Thomas in targets. Sims finished 3-63, highlighted by a 50-yard reception. Sims is probably the best WR option for Washington this week if McLaurin is inactive again, but he won't be much more than a WR3 against the Eagles (No. 31 aFPA).

WAS WR Cam Sims - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Carolina Panthers

Terry McLaurin is listed as "doubtful" which means Cam Sims likely becomes the next man up among Washington's receivers. He had eight targets last week, finishing 5-26. He also has a 110-yard game and a 92-yard game this season. We wouldn't expect monster numbers from Sims, but someone has to get targets and he's the best bet aside from J.D. McKissic and Logan Thomas. Sims will be in WR3 to WR4 range with no McLaurin.

WAS WR Cam Sims - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at San Francisco 49ers

Cam Sims essentially stole Terry McLaurin's production last week as he finished 5-92 on nine targets. It was a weird performance considering Sims had a goose egg the week prior. We'd expect Washington to return to McLaurin this week, leaving Sims with small scraps like the rest of Washington's receivers. Sims is the No. 2 WR in this offense, but that hasn't meant much for most of the year. Sims is mostly off the fantasy radar for Week 14.

WAS WR Cam Sims - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Pittsburgh Steelers

After Terry McLaurin, there isn't a wide receiver in Washington worth playing in fantasy. Cam Sims might be the best bet as he plays the most (80% last week), but Sims saw zero targets in Week 12.

WAS WR Cam Sims - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Cowboys

As we mentioned last week, there's not much intrigue in receivers behind Terry McLaurin on Washington's depth chart. Even when Washington threw the ball 55 times in Week 11, no one really stood out. Cam Sims, who had 100 yards a few weeks ago, finished just 2-20 in Week 11. He's not a strong play this week despite a favorable matchup against the Cowboys.

WAS WR Cam Sims - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

After Terry McLaurin, it's a hodge-podge of receivers for Washington. Cam Sims, Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright combined for 15 receptions for 159 yards last week as they were all mostly productive, each finishing with at least 45 yards. But last week was an odd game as Washington threw the ball 55 times. It's hard to really trust any Washington receiver behind McLaurin as they all blend together. One of them might be worth a desperation play considering the favorable matchup against the Bengals, but they all carry risk.

WAS WR Cam Sims - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Detroit Lions

Cam Sims came out of nowhere with a 110-yard game last week. It was a surprising performance considering Sims has been playing since 2018 and had 88 career receiving yards before that game. Washington has had a few receivers step up this season including Steven Sims, Isaiah Wright and Dontrelle Inman. But none have had consistent play. Terry McLaurin is the only Washington receiver worth fantasy consideration.
