Scouting report

MIA WR Trent Sherfield - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Los Angeles Chargers

Trent Sherfield got the party started last week as he scored on a 75-yard touchdown on the Dolphins' first offensive play of the game. He did get two more targets after that huge catch, but didn't get any more receptions. Sherfield has come up with some big plays for Miami this season, but it's hard to continually produce with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on board. Speaking of Waddle, he's nursing a fibula injury this week. So if he's inactive, then Sherfield becomes a viable option in Week 14 against the Chargers (6th aFPA). However if Waddle is active, Sherfield isn't much more than a mid-tier WR5 this week.

ARI WR Trent Sherfield - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New Orleans Saints

Trent Sherfield caught the only ball thrown his way last week for four yards against the Giants. Sherfield saw 82% of the team’s offensive snaps with Christian Kirk still sidelined, but he hasn’t been able to capitalize on additional opportunities. He’s failed to catch more than a single pass in any game this season. He should remain on waivers until we see some consistent production out of him.

ARI WR Trent Sherfield - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New York Giants

Trent Sherfield caught one pass for 38 yards last week. While he has a nice matchup against the Giants, he’s vying for snaps and targets with a plethora of other receivers behind starter Larry Fitzgerald, and there’s no reason to expect on of the options to excel more than any of the others. Leave him on waivers.

ARI WR Trent Sherfield - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Seattle Seahawks

Trent Sherfield has been fairly productive over the last three weeks, catching 14 balls for 154 yards and a touchdown during that span. However, in a terrible offense that is averaging a mere 161 passing yards per game – last in the league – it’s hard to get excited about a secondary receiver in the offense. Leave him on waivers this week against the Seahawks.
