Scouting report

CHI WR D.J. Moore - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Atlanta Falcons

D.J. Moore put up a dud last week, finishing 3-18 on six targets. Moore suffered an ankle injury early in the game, and although he was able to return, he appeared somewhat limited. He avoided the Bears' injury report this week, though, so he should be good to go against the Falcons (11th aFPA). Expect a bounce back game from Moore as he should get back to posting his usual numbers. Moore is averaging 76.1 yards per game this season and is still a strong option despite his poor outing last week. He should be viewed as a solid WR2 option for Week 17.

CHI WR D.J. Moore - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Justin Fields and the Bears offense as a whole struggled last week, so D.J. Moore only put up modest numbers, finishing 4-52 on eight targets. It still wasn't a bad game, and shows Moore's floor is pretty high as he's had at least 50 receiving yards in 11 of his 14 games this season. Moore has a better matchup this week against the Cardinals (13th aFPA). Arizona has given up the 8th-most total receiving touchdowns to WRs this season. Moore should be viewed as a must-start WR1 in Week 16.

CHI WR D.J. Moore - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Cleveland Browns

D.J. Moore did a bit of everything last week. He rushed three times for 20 yards and scored his first rushing touchdown. He also had a solid game as a receiver, finishing 6-68-1 on 10 targets. Moore hit a tiny slump when Justin Fields was hurt, but he's been back to producing like a WR1 with Fields back in the lineup. He draws an OK matchup this week vs. the Browns (17th aFPA) this week. Given his recent production, he should be viewed as someone you want in your lineup for Week 15.

CHI WR D.J. Moore - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Detroit Lions

D.J. Moore had one of his better games of the year the last time the Bears played, finishing with a season-high in targets (13) and receptions (11). He had 114 receiving yards, which means he's gone over 100 yards four times in the seven games Justin Fields has started and finished (and he had a 96-yard game in there). Moore is a pretty safe bet whenever Fields is playing. He should be viewed as a top 10 WR this week, especially in a favorable matchup vs. the Lions (30th aFPA). Moore played the Lions just a few weeks ago and finished 7-96-1.

CHI WR D.J. Moore - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Minnesota Vikings

Justin Fields' return to the lineup was a welcome sight for D.J. Moore. Moore finished 7-96-1 on nine targets. He accounted for 56% of the Bears' total passing yards in the game. As long as Fields is the starting QB, Moore owners can feel comfortable playing him. This week Moore faces the Vikings (22nd aFPA). Moore finished 5-51 on eight targets in his first meeting vs. Minnesota this season, although that was game Fields left early due to an injury. Moore should be viewed as a solid WR1 option in Week 12.

CHI WR D.J. Moore - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Detroit Lions

D.J. Moore's revenge game against the Panthers was just so-so as he finished with five receptions for 58 yards on nine targets (he also ran once for one yard). Moore's production has been stagnant with Justin Fields out of the lineup, but fantasy owners can rejoice as Fields is expected back this week. In Moore's last two full games with Fields, he finished with stat lines of 8-131-1 and 8-230-3. Moore should get back on track this week with Fields, especially in a favorable matchup vs. the Lions (24th aFPA). Moore can be viewed as a top-10 option at WR in Week 11.

CHI WR D.J. Moore - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Carolina Panthers

D.J. Moore hasn't been nearly as productive with Tyson Bagent at QB as he had another disappointing effort last week, finishing 3-44 on five targets. Moore hasn't caught a touchdown in the games Bagent has played in, and is averaging five receptions for 51 yards. There's a chance Justin Fields (thumb) returns to action this week, so that will be worth monitoring. It's also worth noting that this week is a revenge game for Moore as he faces his former team the Panthers. Carolina is 2nd in aFPA to WRs this season, but part of that is just because teams blow them out and end up running more than passing. Moore should be viewed as a low-end WR2 option in Week 10, but he'll get a bump if Fields is able to go.
