Scouting report

DEN QB Drew Lock - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
In the loss to the Chargers last week, Drew Lock passed for 264 yards and two interceptions. He was the victim of some drops by rookie receiver Jerry Jeudy but now has tossed one more INT than TD on the season. In Week 10 at Las Vegas, Lock threw for 257 yards but was picked off four times. He remains just a QB2 option in the finale.

DEN QB Drew Lock - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Los Angeles Chargers
After busting out the week prior, Denver’s offense was stuck in neutral for much of last Saturday’s game versus the Bills. After a four-TD performance, Drew Lock followed that up with a stinker – throwing for a season-low 132 yards despite 32 attempts. While he’s gone two straight games without a pick, one of the three times he was sacked turned into a fumble for a Buffalo score. In the Week 8 comeback win over the Chargers, Lock threw for 248 yards and three scores but he remains just a QB2 option.

DEN QB Drew Lock - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Buffalo Bills
In the win over the Panthers last week, Drew Lock had his best game of the season, completing 78% of his passes for 280 yards and tossing a career-high four TDs. The game plan featured both screen passes and some deep balls to the rookie speedster K.J. Hamler, something that has been lacking for most of ’20. Despite the strong outing and facing an average Bills pass defense on Saturday, Lock remains just a QB2 option.

DEN QB Drew Lock - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Carolina Panthers
In the loss at Kansas City last week, Drew Lock threw for a season-low 151 yards and two scores. He was also intercepted twice, continuing a streak of at least one pick in seven straight outings. In eight full games this year, Lock has completed just 55% of his passes, tossing for nine TDs. The Panthers are No. 19 against the pass but Lock remains only a QB2 option.

DEN QB Drew Lock - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Kansas City Chiefs
After missing last week’s game versus the Saints due to contact tracing, Drew Lock will return as the Broncos QB on Sunday night. Despite only seven TD tosses this season he has thrown for over 250 yards in three straight and will need a big performance to keep his team in the game against the high-powered Kansas City offense. In the loss to the Chiefs in October Lock threw for 254 yards and two picks.

DEN QB Drew Lock - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New Orleans Saints
Versus the Dolphins last week, Drew Lock ended up throwing for 270 yards, with 61 of those coming on the game’s final play as the Broncos were running out the clock. Possibly bothered by sore ribs, he got off to a slow start but eventually found his rhythm as the offense was able to use a balanced attack in a more competitive contest. Lock has tossed just one TD in the past two outings, and in four of the eight games he’s played in this season he’s failed to throw for at least a score. Look for another unproductive outing against the Saints No. 4 overall defense, making Lock still only a QB2 option.

DEN QB Drew Lock - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Miami Dolphins
After posting good fantasy numbers in back-to-back weeks, Drew Lock and the Broncos offense were horrible last Sunday in Las Vegas. Lock finished with 257 passing yards and a garbage-time touchdown but completed fewer than 50% of his attempts and was picked off a career-high four times. Denver has struggled to get things going in the first half all season, usually leading to big deficits which have helped Lock’s numbers. He’s dealing with sore ribs and is questionable versus the Dolphins No. 19 pass defense If he’s able to go Lock remains just a QB2 option.
